Saunders \"RED\" Silver Streak Vintage WW2 Glass-Pyrex Iron - It get hot too For Sale

Just listed, andup for sale a must have if you collect vintage or antique irons. This the \"Red\"Saunders Silver Streak 1000 wattPyrex-Glass top iron, dating from WW2 Years. The iron has a great cord, with no weak areas, and the plug is also in working order. The iron does get hot slowly, and the glass and chrome plate are as shown.Product information on the chrome heel, and you can see the Pyrex name as well beneath the glass I am assuming.

I did not fool with the setting to much in fear of breaking something. They move freely, and I have plugged this iron in on two separate occasions, and it got hot slowly, both the glass and the metal a bit less. Thisis the more desirable red model as opposed to the blue I am told. This type iron was short lived in manufacture in glass due to the metalneeded for the war effort, so to find one that gets hot, has a chord that is not going to shock you, or trip your circuit breaker is a rare find. Slight overall dullness to glass in small spots (maybe grime)anda few scuffs to chrome heel, and base, but in great shape, and displays great. Don\'t know if I would actually use the thing; but there you are.Please look the pictures over, and offer accordingly. Sold as found.
