18\" NC Pottery Malachite Green Glaze 2 Handle Floor Vase Signed Joe Owen NICE For Sale

Here\'s a nice BIG NC pottery floor vase that was made by Joe Owen back in the 1950\'s. This one is signed with Joe\'s impressed stamp, and even if it wasn\'t, there is no mistaking that tooled collar band around the shoulder. Joe was a heck of a good potter, coming from a long line of them, including his older bother, Ben. Most folks are very familiar with Ben\'s work, as he was the first full time potter at Jugtown. This large 2 handle vase is colored in a nice dark green Malachite glaze, and it\'s just an absolute beauty! It\'s in excellent condition, showing just a single TINY glaze flake in the rim. No chips, cracks, or any repairs. Vase stands 18\" tall by 11\" across the handles. This has been in my personal collection for a number of years, but due to having run out of space, I\'m letting it go to make room for a new aquisition.
