This is an original Effanbee Mary Lee doll

Circa 1930-1935

She is 17" tall and marked Mary-Lee on her head; her body is cloth with composition limbs, and she has a non-working cryer box inside her body

She comes in the pale pink organdy outfit shown, which is possibly original, but not tagged so I have no way to verify; her shoes and socks have been replaced

Mary Lee is in excellent, unrestored condition with only very light craze lines here and there on her arms and legs and I don't see any on her face; she does have some paint flaking on her limbs as shown, but no deep cracks, peeling or lifting and her sleep eyes are clear with all lashes intact

Her original mohair wig is in very good condition with no bald spots although it could probably use a little curling on the ends

Mary Lee's outfit is in wonderful condition, with no spots, stains, rips or major damage; her pale pink bonnet is a little pinker in color than her dress

This is a really nice Mary Lee doll and she came from the private collection of an advance doll collector in her 80s who took meticulous care of her dolls, keeping everything clean and free from dust, must, sunlight, mildew and odors

This item is clean, odor-free and comes from a smoke-free home
