1940\'s Yuengling Beer Tray with Beautiful Blonde For Sale

Up for sale is a D.G. Yuengling & Son , Inc. beer tray from the 1940\'s. The David G. Yuengling brewery in Pottsville, PA.has been in business since 1829 and is the oldest surviving beer company still alive in America. The 12 inch round tray pictures a beautiful blond and advertises Yuengling\'s fine beer - ale - porter since 1829. This tray was manufactured by the American Can Co. A like tray is pictured in Gary Straub\'s \"Collectible Beer Trays\" book on p. 156, however this tray looks to be in slightly better condition.

The condition issues are as follows - When held at an angle in a bright light there are very fine surface scratches throughout that are not visible when looking head on. Also when held at the right angle, there are some smudges to the left and right of her forehead and partially on her forehead which aren\'t apparent head on. I have tried to capture this in the pictures. The inner gold ring is mint and the outer gold rim has just a few tiny marks around 5 and 6 o\' clock. The back has a residue of glue and fine scratching around it where a label was probably removed. Also on the back are some fine scratches and one tiny piece of residue about the size of a pinhead.
