Here is a rare original December 1968 SCHWINN STINGRAY \"FASTBACK\" 20\" muscle bike! (MD Serial Number) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!) I got this bike from one of the local Stingray collectors. It is very unique being a 3-speed STICK shift! You dont see these often!

*The bike is in the original and very appealing KOOL LEMON YELLOW factory painted color. It has the original chrome Schwinn S5 20\" front and rear rims. Both front and rear tires hold air. They are old Carlisle SUPER RIDE 20x1 3/8\" tires. (show age) They both hold air and has new front and rear tubes. The bike has cool wide apehanger handlebars, matching Schwinn hand grips, cool original screen Schwinn chain guard, cool rear sissy bar, Schwinn BOW pedals, and so much more! Check out the AWESOME looking yellow Schwinn Stingray banana seat! It has the cool rear tag AND the reflector tab! It is NOT all split up and ripped like many that you see! I dont know where you would find another like it! It is awesome! I love the cool STICK SHIFTER to change the gears! (has a new cable but no overload tube) What a cool bike! These rarely come along in any condition! You will see numerous 5-speed versions before you see another one like this!

*Now is your chance to own one of the COOLEST bikes EVER MADE! Make someone in your life happy with this one. This is a cool bike that you can enjoy for years! It is money in the bank and will only go UP in value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. If you check out , the selection on any 1960s Stingray bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them. Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.

*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is ok! The paint looks ok for a 40+ year old boys bike! (has chips scratches etc) The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. The rear wheel is missing 2 spokes. The front is missing a spoke. The little chain does not want to thread into the hub so I could not tell if it shifts. (will need some tlc) This bike has been in VERY long term storage and cannot wait to be enjoyed and appreciated once again! A VERY cool bike! Add up the value of the parts as well. Sorry, no buy it now is offered. People will ENVY you when you ride by at a car show or on the street with this bike! Sold as is because it is used. I try to list anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.

Generally, if I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Monday, it allows me enough time to get your bike to the shop for packing and to ship along with the Tuesday AM shipment. *SHIPPING COSTS: Fed Ex, USPS, as well as UPS have recently raised their shipping rates due to the higher cost of fuel. Sorry for the slight increase in shipping costs.
