You are offerding on the 40 hp MERCURY outboard boat motor that you see in the pics below. This nice, clean motor starts rightup and runs great. The motor is in excellent shape and all original with no welds, damage, repairs or repainting. The motor is very clean and in great shape overall. The lower skeg is in excellent shape with hardly a scratch. The prop is very good as well with only a couple very minor knicks. This motor runs very well, starts right up with a turn of the key. The motor idles smooth, throttles up well with no hesitation, pumps cooling water well and shifts into forward-neutral-reverse smoothly. The compresstion checked out perfect at 130psi on both cylinders, so you know it does not have a lot of run time on it. The power tilt works nice and smooth and does not droop. The motor has only beenused in northern Wisconsin, where the summers are short and the water is clean. Never been used insalt water. The motor is a long shaft (made for a boat with a 20\" transom) remote operated, 2-stroke, 2 cylinder, with electric start, power tilt and oil injection.(no mixing of gas and oil) The winner of the sale will be very pleased with thisnice, smooth running outboard as it looks, operates, andfunctionsjust how you would want it to.

The motor was in perfect running condition when it left me. The buyer never contacted me about it not running. I tried emailing and calling the buyer to offer to pay for any repairs to make it right and offered a full refund but never got a response. Everything I sell is in running condition unless otherwise noted. If there is ever a problem with anything I do everything I can to make it right. As you can see by my other response I have not had any other problems.This sale is for the motor only, there are no controls or fuel tank included. I do have a set of side mount concealed controls available to the winning buyer for $195, and a fuel tank and line for $55.

The state of Wisconsin does not register or title outboard motors, therefore this motor does not have a title. I can issue a bill of sale with the motor which is all you would need to obtain a newone should your state require titles.
