Abercombie and Fitch German Silver Reel by Montaque For Sale

This sale is for a 300 yard, German Silver, free spool type, antique fishing reel. This old reel was manufactured by Montague Company for Abercrombie and Fitch in New York.

AbercrombieandEzra Fitch, Abercrombie & Fitch was an elite outfitter of sporting and excursion goods, particularly noted for its expensive shotguns, fishing rods, fishing boats, and tents. In 1976, Abercrombie & Fitch filed forChapter 11 bankruptcy, finally closing its flagship Manhattan store in 1977.)

This old nickel silver reel is fully operational with loud click, working free spool, and is super smooth running.Probably made in the twenties, this reel survived in good shapewith minor dings and marks on the silver components and only scratches on the hard rubber.(Scratch on the back plate looks like a crack, butdoesn\'t appear thru tothe insideof the rubber plate.)
