This emergency air raid / gas warningsiren is currently supplied to theUS Military, itis the Model G A1 series Hand Crank Siren - Federal began to manufacture the Model G siren in 1938 and has stood the test of time with a few modifications, the original air raid siren was made to protect the home front and was worn around the neck or slung over the shoulder with a clip on strap while this new version can also be worn or carried with the supplied OD green strap it can also be mounted to any flat surface by screwing or boltingit down through the two mounting holes at the base. This siren is very very loud and can reach up to 103db at 10\' / 112db at 1 meter (wear hearing protection while operating this siren) and has that distinct old style sound you have heard in the movies or tv shows from the past (air raid sirens, police cars, fire engines etc.), the faster you crank the louder it gets- This siren is in original new condition with some scuffs from storage and in the original box,includes the neck/shoulder strap.
