This is a fabulous antique solid silver pair of sugar tongs with C scroll pierced stems leading to shell grips. It was made by Philip Batchelor probably London c.1770.

CONDITION

It is in good condition, just the usual light surface marks consistent with age and use. Small historic restoration, hardly visible, please see photos.

It is clearly hallmarked and , maker, date and assay office marks can be clearly seen.
