Offered in this sale is an unusual blue and white hand painted oblong footed Delft faience bowl - dish - that I believe dates to the 19th or perhaps even 18th century. It is not marked in any way. It measures roughly 11 3/4\" long x 9\" wide x 2\" deep. I am not sure if this is Dutch Delft or perhaps German or French or English Delft. The form is quite distinctive so I would imagine collectors more specialized in Delft will recognize it. The condition is very good. There is one tight 1\" age line on the edge of one of the fluted border lobes, otherwise, other than a few minor spots of glaze wear / flakes there are no other chips, cracks or restoration.
