Antique Child\'s Plate, \"Dr. FRANKLIN\'S MAXIM\'S\", ABC Border, \"As Is\", c. 1820.  This fine Antique Child\'s plate is a wonderful example with a blue transfer design showing a man and woman pouring water into buckets.  The ABC plate has an embossed Alphabet border around the rim.  The center scene has a saying that reads,\"Dr. Franklin\'s Maxim\'s - Not to oversee workmen is to leave them your purse open. If you would have a Faithful servant and one that you like, serve yourself.\"
