Antique French Violin & Bow in Case F Breton Brevete 1801 Restoration and Repair For Sale

We have recently been fortunate enough to acquire some delightful antique instruments. This violin is a terrific candidate for either restoration and repair or to be used as a display piece to illustrate the craftsmanship of earlier made instruments. The construction is simply lovely with well carved wood body and tuning pins. The chin rest has a lovely curve to it for comfort. A paper label within reads \"F. Breton brevete de S. M. G.\" as well as \"M La Duchesse D\'Angouleme A. Mirecourt 1801 Breton\". There are other markings carved on this instrument as shown reading \"1031 S L\" possibly the former owner and the accompanying bow needs to be repaired as its original horsehair has is fraying and one end is rather dirty. The case has a latch on either side with a locking latch in the center withred velvet lining that zips over the violin itselfand space to hold two bows, the violin, and some supplies it will also require restoration and good cleaning. The tag within the case reads \"KoveriteGuaranteed Three Ply Veneer Shell\".A fresh estate find!

Shipping is handled through USPS unless otherwise specified. Items over $200 will include ship cover insurance and / or signature confirmation.
