Antique Seth Thomas Automatic Eight Day Long Alarm Mantle Clock, patent dated Aug. 25, 1908, in good working condition with exterior wear with scratches, nicks, scuffs, corner and edge wear.
The winding key is included, but has minor wear and surface corrosion.
The wood back cover panel and Pendulum are missing.
I\'ve been using a replacement Pendulum to test the movement, but I can\'t seem to get the weight right to keep it running.
The alarm function and the movement appear to work. The movement is in very good aesthetic condition.
The alarm is a steel bell with side hammer.
The glass, brass bezel, hands and paper face are all in very good condition.
The base has all four(4) feet intact and the bottom is slotted near the front under the movement.The clock case measures 9-1/2\"H x 8\"W x 5-1/2\"D, the clock face and bezel are 5-1/2\" diameter.
The face has the alarm and main spring wind holes and a S/F adjustment below the hands.
The alarm on/off lever is located below the bezel.
Beautiful mantle clock needing a pendulum, back panel and minor exterior aesthetic restoration!
