It is sweet and well-rounded, silvery and sparkling with bell-like overtones and rich harmonics. It is robust but clean and while not stridently loud is certainly powerful enough to be heard even with a large band or orchestra. It is mostly though a sweet and pure sound, solid to the core, well-focused but mellow. There is no hint of collapse or edginess even when pressed very aggressively. This is a tone with a broad dynamic range and a full sweet sound that becomes more dominant and penetrating the harder it is pressed. But this violin it has the flexibility and reserve power to be a superb instrument for any type of music. This is a very fine playing violin that will please a very discriminating player with a versatile tone that is hard to find.
