Up for sale is an11" long tin battery operated Lincoln Continental MK III fire command car made by Bandai of Japan in the early 1960s. The car is very clean and with exception of corroded base it is in very good condition.The red and white paint has no dents or dings. One small spot on hood and a bit of box rub are all that can be seen on the otherwise gorgeous finish. Trim still shines brightly with some tarnish on roof emergency light surround and a bit of corrosion showing underneath bumpers. Fragile original hood ornament is till intact. Roof mounted emergency "gumball" light and movable sirens are also still in excellent condition. Radio antenna moves easily up and down as it should. Blue tinted plastic windows are crystal clear with no cracks, breaks or shrinkage and still firmly attached. Nicely detailed flat litho interior has separate large plastic steering wheel. Satin black base and battery door show the effects of a long ago leaking battery. Amazingly inside of battery compartment has hardly any wear or corrosion. I could not get the car to work but didn\'t fuss with it too much. The car should have bump no go action with flashing light and wig wag sirens. Rubber tires are all flawless with no cracks or flat spots. Whitewalls and hubcaps are all pristine. Colorful box is clean and complete. Included is the protective cardboard ender. One small rip in lid has been repaired and there is a hole in bottom from leaking battery. I put the ender in base of bottom over the hole and it covers the hole nicely. Even with the unfortunate corrosion, this is a hard to find desirable large size tinplate toy car that displays beautifully. You can\'t go wrong especially with my low, low starting offer and ..........as always.
