This is a nice cdv of a Civil War soldier. Size is 2 1/4 x 3 1/2\". Image shows a young man seated in light colored jacket & pants. Collar appears to be a stiff upright collar. He has a white shirt & tie with dots on it. Written on back in period ink is: Taken in Charleston, S.C. during the war. There is no name or photographer stamp on the card. Card has soiling, spots & stains. Some dark spots over his head & at bottom right corner. Card has been trimmed & there is edge wear & some abrasions on back. Is he Union? Nice cdv.
