Charles Lisk Face Stacker Jug - Catawba Valley Pottery - Vale, NC For Sale

Up for sale is a Catawba Valley face stacker or stacking jug by potter Charlie Lisk of Vale, NC. This stacker jug, with classic early 1990\'s Lisk facial features, has a beautiful alkaline glaze and was wood-fired. The jug measures 4 1/4” x 5”, so it\'s smaller, but definitely not small or miniature. On the bottom is stamped, \"Charles Lisk Vale, NC\". The jug is in great condition, however, when I acquired this jug there were three very small glaze flakes/chips. One was on the left eye (I think), another on the top edge and another tiny one on the eye lid. At the time I was having a 1980\'s teapot restored for someone else and showed the jug. The flakes were given the museum-grade restoration and are not visible. You simply won\'t find many of Charlie\'s face pieces in this size. They are scarce to say the least.
