Very Nice Civil War Sixth Plate Tintype of a young Infantry Corporal with Hardee Hat that has Infantry Bugle, black feathers and Tassel and wearing shoulder scales. Sits with hands crossed and leaning against a table with a tinted table cloth. I think the small stains seen at the upper right corner are on the glass, not 100% sure, but it appears that way. Most of the scans were taken with a flash to show details. The actual tone and lighting is closest to the 3rd image seen which is darker then the others.
Comes in a nice Union Case with the design on both sides. The lower hinge is a little loose, but not severely. Basically a nice image.
Winning buyer, please contact me within 3 days of end of sale. ( has for whatever reason on their own hit up winning buyers with non payment charges or accusations after only 2 days of the end of an sale. I don\'t know why, but that has happened to 2 previous winners of sale who had not payed within 2 days. If it happens, it is not initiated by me after such a short time). I also have up for sale a nice Sixth Plate Double Case, a WW I Post Card of a black POW standing next to a Bavarian Soldier, an attractive Indian woman dated 1883 out of an album with other Native Americans from Puyallup and Olympia, Washington Territory.
I will be open with prior communication with the winning buyer, to look at trades/ partial trades for other Civil War images, German Helmets, Mexican American War Daguerreotypes and other militaria. Thanks
