Dahl – Jensen studiedat the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, Switzerland and Italy.He mastered his skills at Bing & Grondal in Copenhagen from 1917 – 1925 andlater became art director of Norden in Copenhagen. He was famous for his work in porcelainanimal’s figurines. In 1925 he startedhis own business in Husum, Germany and in addition to animal figures he modeleda high quality line of sculptures depicting people from the far east from 1930– 1958, making them more rare.
The sculptureavailable for sale is entitled Bali Women with Turban # 1136. This item is in beautiful condition,despite a minor ding at the back of her turban, everything else is flawless. Thepictures do not do her justice, the detail is stunning. Please review photos. Hallmark reads DJ Copenhagen Denmark. The sculpture measures 8 1/2 inches in heightand approximately 5 inches across at its widest point.
