REGAL 491~ SALT WATER FISHING REEL ~For your consideration: Edward vom Hofe - 1/0 - 491 - Regal salt water reel. This all original vom Hofe reel is in very good+condition and operates just as it should.The reel is marked withnumber 526 but is not stamped with a letter that would indicate the year.The hard rubber is in very good+ condition as is the German silver. This fine example has the leather thumb brake.
Return to the days when anglers like Zane Grey, Michael Lerner, Ernest Hemingway
and S. Kip Farringtonfished with reels like the one above andothersincluding Kovalovsky, Fin-Nor, Stead, Klein and Coxe reels.
