Excellent Civil War musical sixth plate tintype of a confident young officer with a scraggly beard holding his horn upon his knee. This is a marvelous Civil War musical piece with excellent contrast and tone, fine detail and sharp focus. The content is spectacular! There are some interesting stripes running across and around the young soldiers kepi.

Condition:Very light surface wear and a couple faint bends. Appears to have originally been an eighth plate that was trimmed at the bottom and cased as a sixth. Striking image!
