Excellent GEORGIAN SILVER SUGAR BOWL, London 1820 gilt interior crest & motto For Sale

We are offering for sale a lovely qualityGeorgian silver sugar bowl.

This 2 handled basin is demi-fluted with a gadroon rim and four ball feeet. There is a lovely acanthus leaf decoration to give extra grip on the handles and the interior is gilt (gold-wash).

There is an original cockerel or roosterengraved crest with motto to the side.

This Georgian sugra bowl has a good solid feeling of quality and is in excellent condition. Very close inspection shows a fewreally tiny dings to the fluting, but they are really very minor.

MARKS: Full set of English hallmarks (guaranteeing Sterling 925 standard silver) for London 1820, made byJoseph Angell. The marks are a bit worn but legible.
