AB763 Blackface Circuit!Made In USA!
This is a 1967FenderBandmaster SilverfaceAmp head.The Drip Edge amps are very sought after and collectable. They only made these for 2 years, 1967 and 1968. This is the early version that still had the AB763 Blackface circuitry.The AB763 (designed in July, 1963) circuit is arguably considered the \"best\" circuit version produced for this amp by collectors and aficionados. Amps retrofitted to this circuitry are described as having been \"blackfaced,\" a reference to the black faceplate used on these amps during much of this era. The AA568 version (introduced May, 1968) was met with popular dislike by Fender\'s customers. It is referred to at times as the \"silverface\" circuit, referring to the brushed aluminum control plate used from 1968 to 1974. The circuit change and the cosmetic change didn\'t happen at the same time; some 1967 and early 1968 Bandmasters still possessed the AB763 circuitry. So, this is the \"Good\" one. The Blackface circuitry inside the Silverface.

This is a very rare and collectable amp. You do not see these everyday. It is completely serviced. You will not have to spend any additional money on this amp. It is gig ready on arrival.
If you are a collector or a player this is the best of both worlds. You can enjoy playing this amp that will continue to appreciate in value because of the limited production and availability.
Cosmetics:Good Condition.The tolex on the amp has some minor tears. There are also scratches and scuffs. The metal chassis, handlesupports and the metal corners are pitted and have some rust. The Silverfacecontrol bezel has some scratches as well as some dings and dents. The drip edges are a little bent and the drip edge corners are missing. Grill cloth in good condition. It has faded and yellowed some due to age.Overall, it is dripping with \"Mojo\". The wear is what gives it it\'s charm. Understand what you are buying. This is a 47 year old vintage \"Players\" amp. It is used. Not perfect.Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
