HUGE VINTAGE EARLY 60s BARBIE KEN SKIPPER DOLLS CLOTHING ACCESSORY LOT EUC For Sale

GIGANTIC, HUGE, RARE, VINTAGE BARBIE, MIDGE, KEN, SKIPPER ANDSCOOTER DOLL, CLOTHING AND ACCESSORY LOT!I recently purchased an amazing one-owner lot! This entire lot is in good to excellentcondition and contains beautiful dolls and complete outfits! The winning buyer will not be disappointed!

The boxed dolls came with the original lot as well as 90% ofthe clothing ensembles. I have addedadditional dolls, a few extra outfits and some missing accessories. The entire lot is a little piece of historyfrom late 1959 to themid-1960s. Theoriginal owner lived in Athens, Texas, when she played with these dolls and clothes and you will find her name written onsome items. All items are vintage, authenticMattel except for a few clone or mommy-made items in the last picture. Please also see the vintage Barbie cutoutsincluded in the last picture. Thecutouts are in played-with condition but still in great shape for being over 50years old.

None of the accessories have been used more than ONCE in thepictures. Also, I have tried to keep theintegrity of the original lot by including all pieces received, even if damagedor stained. If too damaged or stained, Ihave also included replacements for these items and will add details in thedescription below.

All dolls are as found or purchased. You may assume dolls have no green ears, noloose limbs and no missing hair plugs, fingers, toes or noses unless notedbelow. You may also assume all clothingensembles are complete, that cloth pieces and accessories are in good conditionwith no torn fabrics or missing fasteners; that there are no split shoes, allshoes are properly marked JAPAN and outfits are in great, displayablecondition! Any exceptions will also benoted below. Buyer may wish to whitensome items such as gloves, socks, cotton tops, etc… and may need to sew astitch or two.

Also included are the vintage Barbie cutoutdolls in their original box, two 1962 doll cases in great condition (the glueholding the accessory boxes might be a little sticky, cases have a fewscratches in the vinyl – more on the blue case) and some very cute clone orhomemade clothing items and accessories.

BOXED DOLLS ALL FROM ORIGINAL ONE-OWNER LOT:

Boxed Dressed Doll:

This is a Midge/Barbie blonde bubble cut wearing NightyNegligee complete including box, doll, outfit, earrings, stuffed dog, pinkpompom shoes (near mint!) and black wire stand.The box has the original Nighty Negligee stickers on the end panels andI guarantee this is the doll that belongs in this box! She does have a small green ear problem asher original earrings were still in her ears when I received her. I have only cleaned her ears with alcohol ifyou should wish to do any additional treatment.Her face, fingernail and toenail paint is great! The Nighty Negligee Set is also in greatcondition with the original pompom OTS. Thestuffed dog that came with this lot is missing its body so I have added acomplete one. The box is in greatvintage condition with no split corners.There is some age discoloration but overall, it’s wonderful for itsage! There was a clear (but somewhatdarkened with age) plastic cover included in the lot that I cannot say for sureit goes to this box but I am including it if you wish to use it for displaypurposes. If I have left anything out ofthis description, please message me and I will provide any additional detailsneeded.

Boxed Ken Doll:

#1 Ken, blonde, flocked hair with some lost flocking. His face paint is all there and looks great!His stance is just a little wide. He didnot have a beach jacket but does have a yellow towel (this towel may go to the“In Training” outfit) and cork sandals as well as his original black wire stand. The box is also great with no splitcorners. There are a few old tape markson the box bottom and an indentation also in the bottom that looks torn butdoes not go all the way through the box.There is some age discoloration.Again, I guarantee this is the doll that belongs in this box!

Boxed Midge Doll:

Midge and box are in great condition! I would call the dollnear mint! Her face, fingernail andtoenail paint is excellent; her swimsuit has some light stains on the top thatI did not try to remove. She has herblack, wire stand and white OTS. The boxhas some age discoloration but no split corners. There is a small tear along one edge of thebox bottom but it also does not go all the way through the box, actually just apaper tear. Once again, I guarantee thisto be the doll that belongs in this box!

#1 Ken, brunette, flocked hair: Ken has great face paint and a nice, straightstance. He does have some missing patches of flockingbut will look great in a hat. There is avery small brown mark on his left forearm.He is on his correct ©1960 Hawthorne, CA, body.

BUBBLECUTS:

LEFT TO RIGHT, TOP ROW:

Beautiful #1 titian redhead: There is some light greasiness to hercomplexion, not at all bad! Eye and browpaint is near perfect but she does have some paint loss to her lips. Her right arm and leg are slightly darkerthat the right side, perhaps from the way she was stored. Her hair is a lovely, shiny copper-pennycolor. She also has lovely, smoky eyeshadow and nearly 100% of her finger and toenail paint. She is on her proper Barbie ® body and comeswith her zebra striped OSS.

Lovely White Ginger: Herhair and lips have oxidized only slightly.Her hair is VERY soft with no missing plugs. She has wonderful face, fingernail andtoenail paint with only very slight eyelash rubs, barely noticeable. She does have four smallish green spots onthe upper back of her left arm. She willcome with her red, helenca swimsuit. HerOSS has some popped seams and runs but still looks good. She is on her correctMidge/Barbie body.

BOTTOM ROW, LEFT TO RIGHT:

Beautiful blonde with “interesting” hair! Her hair has been trained to be combedstraight back from her face but, with much effort, I believe I have uncovered apart on her right side! I will not saythat this is a side-part bubble cut but I will say it MAY be! There does seem to be a thatched part but herhair will take some more work to give it the side-part style. Her face paint is excellent, she is missingmost of the nail polish on her right hand but her other hand and toenails lookgood. Using a magnifying glass, I seesome light indentations on her right index and middle fingers and some lightplaywear scratches on her back. She is on her correct Midge/Barbie body andwearing her correct OSS in great condition.

1st Issue titian bubblecut with a green earproblem! Her problem is mostly coveredby her hair but it is dark and not confined to her earring holes. On the right side, it extends a little behindher ear but, again, her hair is thick and full and could be positioned to coverall of the green areas. Her eye,fingernail and toenail paint is great but she is missing almost all of her lippaint. Her stance is great but she has asmall purple spot above her left knee. Istill feel this doll will display nicely.She is on her correct Barbie ® body and will come with her zebra stripedOSS with a small seam separation in the front.

1st issue blonde bubblecut: I would call this doll near mint! She is simply stunning! You may find some playwear but you will needa magnifying glass. All paint isexcellent! Just noticed some dirt rubson her calves that may wash off. She ison her proper Barbie ® body and wearing her OSS in great condition.

1st issue white ginger: This girl is just lovely! She has a tight bubblecut and beautiful facepaint! Her lips and hair have oxidized alittle but what is interesting about this doll is her hair wants to swirl tothe right instead of the usual left.Very cool! Her fingernail paintis great but toenail paint is a little skimpy.She is on her proper Barbie ® body and wearing her OSS in greatcondition. (Oops! Just found a small,dark pen point sized mark behind her left ankle!)

SKIPPER:

She is a lovely brunette 1st issue, straight-legdoll with no visible flaws that I can find; no paint loss, no haircuts and nogreen anywhere. She probably shows somelight playwear as she is a used doll. Her bangs want to bunch toward the centerof her forehead but probably just need to be retrained. She is wearing her original swimsuit andshoes.

SCOOTER:

Scooter is in great condition, too! I believe she still has her original ponytails. There are a few hairs out of place butrestyling will be left to the buyer.This is the first Scooter I have seen so I’m not sure what her lipsshould look like but she has some light, whitish to natural color on herlips. Her bottom lip also has a verysmall brown mark (misplaced freckle???)Her eyes are brown and glance in the opposite direction from Skipper’s. Her swimsuit is in fair condition and missingthe gold button on the front.

AMERICAN GIRLS:

Titian: Great dollwith some unruly hair from storage! Herhair will need restyling but there are no missing hair plugs that I cansee. She is lovely but does have some lashrub on both eyes. Wow… I just noticedshe has no eyebrows! I knew she lookedstrange for some reason!!! But, she isvery much worth having professionally touched-up! Her lips look great and her legs bend andclick at least twice (I didn’t want to force a third click.) There are some pin pricks around her ankles butno splits in her vinyl. Her left hip isa little loose…it’s not falling off and will still hold any pose but I wantedyou to be aware of her flaws. She willbe wearing her OSS that has a small tear in the neckline.

Midge: Midge DOEShave eyebrows! In fact, all of her facepaint looks great, as does her fingernail paint! Her legs are near perfect but her left kneesplays outward just slightly. Knees bendand click at least twice, again I did not want to force a third click. You can see her scalp where her headband usedto be but there are no missing hair plugs.She will be wearing her OSS in good condition.

SWIRL:

Titian, redhead in great condition! Her very soft and longhair was braided when I received her and I have left her that way. Face paint is lovely with very pale pinklips. Some lip paint may be missing,it’s hard to tell because the paint looks very natural. Nail paint is better on the left side than onthe right, almost no nail paint on left foot.She has three bubbles on her the backs of her legs, possibly fromstorage or factory defects. They are notterrible looking but you can feel them if you run your fingers over them. She still will make a very nice displaydoll. Her legs could probably use some cleaning. She is on her proper Midge/Barbie body andwill be wearing her red helenca swimsuit in good condition but with some poppedstitches in the back.

CLOTHING ENSEMBLES for Barbie, Ken and Skipper are completeand in great condition unless noted below.Also note that “complete” does not include earrings unless specified.

BARBIE/MIDGE ENSEMBLES:

#966 Plantation Belle:Complete and excellent! Tons ofpink color left in the dress! The dressdoes have a few small brown spots that I did not try to clean as I did not wantthe dress to fade – one spot is on the top layer of lace on the left side, theother is on the lace in the back. Dresswill display beautifully as is. The hathas a beautiful bell shape but the hat band does not bend. It is somewhat stiff but I feel that themetal is broken in the band. There islittle to no fraying to the hat rim. Theoriginal basket is missing the strap and bottom so I have included a near mintreplacement basket. Gloves, OTS,necklace and bracelet complete the ensemble.

#961 Evening Splendor:Excellent condition with all accessories including the HTF hankie! This outfit appears to be barely played withand the gold thread is very bright and shiny!It is a little flat from storage.The graduated pearl necklace looks to be on clear string and may havebeen repaired by the original owner.

#991 Registered Nurse:Complete and excellent! Cape doesneed the button loop reattached and could use a gentle cleaning as could the whitenurse uniform and cap. All originalaccessories are included.

#937 Sorority Meeting:Complete and excellent, shows very little playwear! There may be the start of two small holes inthe sweater but you have to pull the fabric apart to see them. Will display as near mint!

#969 Suburban Shopper:Dress and straw fruit basket are excellent! The hat shows a little fraying and possiblysome age discoloration but the metal stays are not broken! The pearl drop necklace is included as wellas the pink phone with metal dial and white OTS.

#915 Peachy Fleecy:Complete with excellent coat (could use washing, if desired,) hat withgreat bead and about half of the feather trim.Hatband is intact and bends, purse is soft and supple, vinyl gloves are abit stiff, brown OTS complete the ensemble.I also included a cute clone dress that I think will look great underthe coat.

#954 Career Girl:Excellent and complete! Could usa gentle cleaning, if desired.

#982 Solo in the Spotlight: Complete but missing the microphone stand! Of course, the glitter on the gown is veryfragile so I have included an extra gown – one gown is missing most of theglitter at the bust line, the other has a tiny hole that may or may not showwhen on a doll, I did not place it on a doll to see if it shows, sorry. The pink scarf is very bright! The necklace looks almost new but may havehad the hook repaired. Gloves and shoesare excellent.

#934 After 5: Verynice and complete! Some light agediscoloration to the white trim on the hat and dress collar but no runs in thefragile nylon!

#939 Red Flair and #977 Silken Flame: Excellent overall condition! Nice, cleanlining on coat with a small seam separation in one armhole. Dress will need pressing. Purse has the rhinestone fastener; gold beltis in good condition. All accessoriesare included to complete both ensembles.

#948 Ski Queen:Excellent and complete! Coat isbright and clean with inspection tag intact!Pants are still thick and stretchy; gloves, boots and sunglasses are ingreat shape, as are the skis and ski poles with handles that are still soft andpliable. Of course, the rubber bandshave disintegrated on the skis.

#941 Tennis Anyone:Complete and in great played-with condition! Dress could use some whitening. There is no bleeding of orange into the whiteof the cardigan and all original accessories are included.

#973 Sweet Dreams:Complete. Pantie elastic is alittle stiff and one bow is untied.Original top is the “R” version but I am also including a “TM” top thathas some stains and tiny holes. Nopompoms on shoes but shoes have the holes for them. Apple, clock, hair bow (ring is missing) anddiary are in good vintage condition.Diary shows some wear and has a brown rectangular mark on the back(tape?)

#916 Commuter Set:This set is in good condition! The hat is a bright fuchsia color withvery little fraying to the “feathers.”The hatbox is the TM version and shows some typical wear…it is slightly “lumpy”along one edge of the top, also has some small scrapes on the top, the rope handleis a little short. If you open the box,you can see that it was shortened perhaps to keep it from sliding through thehole. You may wish to repair this andthe original owner may have already made some repairs to the hatbox. The jacket is missing the label but sometraces of the label remain. I havecompared this jacket and skirt to my TM version and it matches seam for seamand is the exact size. Other than this,the jacket and skirt are in great condition!The white satin blouse is excellent except for some loose lace on oneleg hole in the back. The blue checkedbody suit looks to be in good condition, as well. TM (right shoe marked Japan) navy blue shoescomplete the set. Sorry, no necklace orbracelet was found but overall, this outfit will make a beautiful display!

#967 Picnic Set:This is a great outfit, complete and in wonderful condition! The only issues I see are the fish is crackedbut still intact, the hat ribbons are a little worn and the handle is missingfrom the fishing rod. Still will lookgreat on Barbie or Midge!

#984 American Airlines Stewardess: This set is excellent! Metal wings on jacket and hat trim is intact,pull ring on flight bag zipper is intact, snaps and buttons are intact and allaccessories are included! There was apair of black closed toe (unmarked) shoes found in the lot so I included themwith this outfit as well as the black Japan OTS.

#983 Evening Enchantment:This ensemble might be considered a little TLC! The beautiful gown is a lovely pink color andhas all three crystal beads and will need pressing; the fur on the stole is good but has someminor staining to the satin lining; and the hook and eye have beenrepaired. Long white tricot gloves arein good condition. The gold glitter OTSare damaged: The left shoe has a brokenheel, the right has a bent heel that might be able to be straightened but thestrap is broken on the side. Even withthese defects, they still look nice on Barbie’s feet. Oddly, these seem to be the TM issue shoes asthe only markings I see are on the right shoe.No necklace or earrings were found with the set.

#963 Resort Set:This set is the TM version and our original owner has written her nameon the back, inside seam at the bottom of the jacket. I have included an R version jacket if you donot wish to display this little piece of the lot’s history. White shorts, visor and striped pullover arein good condition! There are three corkwedges: One is a #1 shoe with the holein the sole but some of the cork is missing around the hole. The other two appear to be a pair and do showsome wear to the white plastic straps and soles. The original charm bracelet has only one sawtooth charm left.

#940 Mood for Music:Very nice set! I do not see anyholes in the cardigan or shell but there is a small seam separation on thesweater’s left cuff. This will not showon display or can easily be repaired.The blue Capri pants look fantastic with none of the usual age-relateddiscoloration! The gold cork shoes aregreat but no necklace was found with the set.

#979 Friday Nite Date:Very nice condition! No rips ortears in fabrics but the overdress does have some age discoloration, mostly inthe back and the white underdress has two, small dark stains along the bottomlace, again primarily in the back. I dobelieve both pieces will be great on display!The fizz in the orange glasses may or may not be original as it ispacked down (and has been in there a LONG time!) or it has been replaced withcotton balls but the straws are definitely original. The tray shows some light playwear. All pieces came with the original lot.

#987 Orange Blossom:Great condition! The only issue Isee is a small tear in the lace overskirt near the bottom on the leftside. This could be carefully repaired,I’m sure, but if not will still display nicely.

Lingerie Paks:Blue set is in fair condition with stretched elastic and, unfortunately,the bra is torn in half. Set includesmirror and blue shoes missing the pompoms.The Embroidered Lingerie Set shows some age, the petticoat needsstitching at the waist, the elastic is stretched on it and also on the bra; thepanties show fraying on one leg but the brush, comb and mirror are in goodcondition!

#988 Singing in the Shower: Includes bathrobe with belt, slippers, towel(does not say “Hers”,) shower cap (ribbons on top are not attached but are allthere inside the cap and could be re-glued,) washcloth, talc puff and bottom oftalc container (no top) and soap. All infair condition and may have some stains, especially the slippers!

#1469 Blue Royalty:Excellent and near mint! Includesblue pilgrim shoes (unmarked as is correct, I was told) and silver dimpled purse.

#1872 See-Worthy:Excellent and nearly complete! Ibelieve it is missing a yellow neck tie/scarf??? I’m not all that familiar with this era ofBarbie clothing!

There are some very cute “Mommy-made” outfits includedthat were part of the original lot (see last picture.)

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST:

#823 Barbie in Holland:Very nice, complete ensemble! Notperfect but will display well! All itemsare in good, played-with condition. Theskirt has a small brown spot in the front covered by the apron; theover-the-knee cotton socks are two different lengths for some reason but,again, will be covered by the long skirt.The top could use a gentle cleaning but I will leave that to the buyer,if desired.

KEN ENSEMBLES:

#0777 Ken in Holland:Still in box with $2.50 price sticker!Box is a little rough. Thisoutfit was sold to me as NRFB but I am not 100% sure of that! I see a small dirty mark on one of the socksand the hat is not the same color as the pants (not sure if it should be as Ihave never seen this ensemble before!)But, if you want to take it out of the box for display, I believe itwill look excellent! Obviously this isan added item and not part of the original lot. I thought it would look greatwith Barbie’s Holland outfit.

#786 Saturday Date:Complete and in great condition!Tie elastic is missing, the jacket has two button loops and the shirthas some tiny marks and could probably be whitened a little more. All in all, very displayable!

#780 In Training:Complete and in great condition although one of the dumbbells has a meltmark on the handle.

#1408 Fraternity Meeting:All pieces are in great condition, there are no holes in thesweater! I included the brown suitcaseas a bonus item.

#785 Dreamboat:Very good, displayable condition but without the original hat. I have included what could be Ken’s BusinessAppointment felt fedora but it looks a little faded, is somewhat stiff and ismissing the hatband. Still looks good onKen, though. ☺

#782 Casuals:Complete with HTF key ring! Greatcondition!

#793 Doctor Ken:Great condition but missing the stethoscope. All other pieces are included, even an extrahot water bottle!

#790 Time for Tennis:Complete and in very good condition!The set was missing the sunglasses but I have purchased a pair and willinclude them in the lot if they arrive prior to the end of this sale.

#798 Ski Champion: Complete except for goggles/sunglasses! Sorry but I have only one pair! Outfit is in great condition! The picture is missing the hat, gloves andboots but I assure you they are included.

#789 The Yachtsman:Very nice, complete outfit! Itdoes not have the VHTF hat and the book shows some playwear.

#781 Sleeper Set:Complete and in great condition with light playwear to the accessories!

#784 Terry Togs:Great robe and tie but slippers are very stained! Set includes briefs, razor without cord, comband soap. I may have mixed up the yellowSinging in the Shower towel. It may gowith this set instead.

SKIPPER CLOTHING:

#1907 School Days:Complete and would be excellent but the sweater does have mothholes. The set came with pink kneesocks.

#1909 Dreamtime:Very nice set in original, vintage condition with paper inspectiontags. Could use a gentle cleaning, ifdesired. Complete except for phonedirectory!

There is a cute, two piece clone (?) set that looks likeit might fit Skipper included, as well.
