Heddon Deluxe #358\' Bamboo Fly Rod 1 3/42 Tips AL Tube & Canvas Sock
A little insight:This is a beautiful fly rod I consider a family heirloom. Unfortunately, my great uncle asked me to sell it for him to help pay for a new complete furnace system. This rod belonged to his father, my Great Great Uncle. Their older \"lifetime warrantied\" Lennox system was unrepairable because they no longer make the burner unit. The HVAC rep sold them an entire new system which they were forced to finance. I guess I\'m just disappointed what alot of our \"Greatest Generation\" are forced to do in order to make ends meet. From the amazing fishing stories I have been gifted of hearing, this was used in Wyoming, on the Little Laramie, a long time ago, catching Cutt-throat & German Browns.
Chances are if you are looking at this sale you know more about this rod than me. It is beautiful and the finish is in excellent condition (better than most of my wooden furniture). There are a couple things I believe a discerning collector would like to know and I have listed them in the \"condition description,\" but I will restate here.
1) It appears the first guide on the middle extension has been repaired.2) My Great Great Uncle\'s name was written on the external sock w/ some type of permanent ink, and is also written on the tube label, and label labels attached to the tube. I believe the labels attached to the tube could be removed, but I did not want to do so and risk damaging the \"hammered\" finish of the tube.
Other than those, I can see no other defects, but please ask specific questions if necessary and I will examine anything based upon your inquiry. See pictures for others. I have not cleaned this rod, it was only removed from tube to shoot the pictures. I am impressed by the condition of this Fly Rod, the cork handle is much more clean than any of my walleye rods. Although this rod will not remain in the family, I know the funds will help resolve their debt. No one nearing 90 should have to worry about a roof over their head.
The Rod will be package/shipped in a shortened rod tube I received from shimano, and surrounded by pillow stuffing for cushioning, of course insured. If you would like other special attention given to packaging please let me know, I have no problem meeting your needs.
One last thing. I am not profiting from this sale, all of the funds are going directly to my Great Aunt & Uncle, every penny, I guess except what demands. Thank you for looking and please ask any question before purchase there are no returns.

It seems both tips lean towards the left, and one up a little, the first two sections are very straight. I did not fully seat the rod together, about halfway, the fittings are very tight and did not want to risk damaging the rod, or any guides. I\'m sure whoever the final owner is could clean the seats so they can fully insert, I didnt want the connection to become too tight to undo. The cork insert plug on the main portion of the rod broke during extraction but did not effect the rod, it was the plug that covered the insert hole, the other plug is intact.- industryevolutionsFrom:
