ID\'D CIVIL WAR 6th PLATE TINTYPE ARMED 45th OHIO Co \"I\" INFANTRY ABNER COLLINS

Offered is a 1860\'s Civil War 6th plate Tintype of Abner Collins. This is an armed 3/4 view of Collins wearing a Greatcoat and comes with old copies of Pension documents. Some gold gilt added by the photographer to the uniform.

Enlisted on 8/6/1862, Collins mustered into Co \"I\" of the Ohio 45th Infantry on 08/19/1862. He was promoted to Corporal on 12/15/1862 and then Sergeant on 5/1/1865. He mustered out on 6/12/1865. The tin and documents were acquired together from a Civil war collector, who received from relatives of Collins. Housed in a 1/2 pressed wood case. Nice history.

Some solarization noted. No noted bends in the main body of the tin. Light wear to the surface. Solid image overall. Please see all images for details.
