IMPERIAL GERMAN BAVARIAN MODEL 1869 WERDER BAYO W/ SCABBARD For Sale

Good to very good condition original pre WWI Imperial GermanBavarian Model 1869 Werder rifle bayonet that was modified to use on Model 1871Mauser, with the grip spine ground down. Bayonet is Jager Regiment unit markedon the left side of the guard and maker marked to Alex Coppel on the blade withthe scales proof mark 18 ½” yataghan style blade has bright plated finish withsome frosting. Guard is similar. Brass grip has nice color, lock springfunctions fine. Fitted in correct original leather scabbard that has brassthroat and tip. Leather is soft and supple with some normal wear and flaking. Stitchingand staples are nice and tight. Bavarian unit marked on the tip. A good exampleof a rare Bavarian Werder bayonet for your collection.
