LARGE TIN BATTERY OP PASSENGER G.M. BUS WORKS ORIGINAL BOX ROSKO YONEZAWA JAPAN:
$510.99

I\'m selling a terrific tin battery operated G.M. bus made by Yonezawa/Rosko of Japan. The bus measures 16 1/4 inches or 41 centimeters long and it is complete and all original and comes with its original box. The bus is in very good, lightly played with condition with no repairs or touchups that I can see. There are a few scratches here and there and a little darkening on the chrome window trim on the sides of the bus but overall, the bus is in extremely nice shape. The back of the bus is a little wonky. It looks like it was a bad day at the stamping factory; the registration on the back of the bus is off, making the stripes on the bus non parallel. (It is not uncommon for the edges of the tin parts of Japanese toys to not quite match up; this is an extreme example but it is just the way the bus was made.) The battery op works great. The battery case is super clean, the bus takes three D batteries and when it is turned on, the headlights illuminate and the bus travels forward in a bump and go pattern. When you press the button on the top of the bus, it stops and the passengers in the window disappear, and the front right hand door opens to reveal a relief figure of a woman passenger. The bus has one of the nicest and most colorful battery operated actions I have ever seen. The original box is in good/fair condition. The top of the box is in good condition and the illustrated label is complete and in nice shape. It is a brightly colored scene of a mother being greeted by her excited children as she get off the bus with the Rosko and Yonezawa logo on either side. The box is the older style box, made of corrugated cardboard with a paper label and the cardboard is a bit frayed on the front top edge of the box. The illustrated top is in nice shape, though; it will display nicely. This is a great 1950\'s tin bus with a wonderful battery operated action. Thanks for looking!!!
