LUDWIG VINTAGE 60\'s DRUMSET For Sale

This is a vintage Ludwig mahogany/poplar/mahogany drum set from about 1967-1968. It includes a 14X24 bass drum, 16X16 floor tom, a rare 14X14 floor tom and a 8X12 rack tom. The 14X14 floor tom and bass drum are mahogany interiors. The 16X16 floor tom and 8X12 rack tom are the Ludwig white interiors.The drums were completely rebuilt using these 1960\'s original shells.They were rewrapped in a vintage white marine pearl finish. The WMP wrap on the 14X14 tom is slightly warmer,(see photos). The hardware was replaced with all new hoops, classic lugs, tension rods, bass drum hoop clamps and mounts. The bass drum hoops were refinished with WMP inlay. The original white baseball bat mufflers and Ludwig keystone badges were reattachedThe bearing edges were refinished and the inside of the shells repainted the original Ludwig white for the 16X16 and 8X12 and refinished mahogany for the 14X14 and 14X24. This is a major overhaul and rebuild and this kit has been restored to its former glory.There are some small marks the bass drum from the rack tom rubbing against it (see photos).The bass drum spurs were replaced with modern Pearl spurs and are much stronger than the original Ludwig 60\'s spurs.The 16X16 floor tom leg brackets and reck tom mount are from the Ludwig A.T.L.A.S. series and are mounted for total shell isolation. Also includes an Aquarian kick drum trigger.This is a fantastic 1960\'s Ludwig drum kit rebuilt to modern standards but retaining the warmth, resonance and vintage sound of the classic 60\'s Ludwigs. The snare stand is not included.
