Very well used Lionel Trains Post War O Gauge # 2331 Virginian FM Trainmaster Diesel .Production era 1955-1958
Obviously the work horse on the original owner\'s layout.Definitely has battle scars.
Heavy Die Cast frame and trucksMinimal to no oxidation/rust notedonmetal parts overall.
Tested powering up, 3 Pos E unit cycled with direction control,moved both directions extremely sluggish.Unit willneed service /lube.
Headlight was seen atboth end. Battery box very clean however horn was not tested. Battery door intact with surface rust seen.
Operating couplers tested working. Comes with Magna Traction.Ornamental horns intact.
Metal handrails and decks are bent with breaks and incomplete overall. Lettering Clear to faded overall.
Blue Plastic Shell withYellow paint wellscratched with cracks/ breaks mainly around the cab area seen and noted .
Yellow paint is chipped and is flaking.mounting screw holes show one fracture below screw head.
If your in the market for a Vintage FM Trainmaster, even with the flaws,a solid good one to start with.
