Please check out my100% Positive response and offer with complete confidence. (And please check out the other beautifulpots that I have on .)

You areofferding on an early wood-fired plate by North Carolina master potter Mark Hewitt.

DESCRIPTION: This wonderful early effort from MarkHewitt has a recessed interior with a warm blue/green glaze. It is further adorned with four fingerswiped squiggly lines (that reveal the underlying clay body) and six raisedwhite circles. The plate has a wideunglazed rounded rim that was rendered toasty brown by the flames of the woodkiln (and that nicely complements the lines in the interior.) Six wad marks around the rim similarlycomplement the interior circles. Theunderside of the plate is a solid beautiful brown with lovely black ashmarkings.

The platemeasures 10 3/8” in diameter and stands 1 ½” high at the rim. It is in mint condition- no chips, cracks orrepairs- and has Mark Hewitt’s early “WMH” impressed mark on the bottom.

Thisis a sale.

ABOUT MARK HEWITT: Mark Hewitt was born in 1955 inStoke-on-Trent, England.
