Noritake Art Deco Luster Elephant Figural Trinket Box For Sale

For your consideration is this fabulous Noritake Art Deco Trinket Box. It measures 6 1/2\" tall from its base to the handle on the lid and 5 1/4\" wide from the tail to trunk. Overall this piece is in great condition with no breaks or repairs. The colors remain rich and vibrant. The only minor flaws worth mentioning is that there is verylight wear to the metallic gold paint on the base, and there\'s a very small chip (not deep) on the lid which is pointed out in photo # 9. Also worth mentioning: it is possible that the goldhandle and gold rim on the lidmay have been \"touched up\" at some point in time. I say this only because those 2 areas are not metallic gold and I suspect (but don\'t know for sure) that they should be. Be that as it may, I findthis in no way remotely takes away from this extremely rare find.

The keen eye of one of the viewers of this listing inquired as to whether there may be a hairline crack in the lid that runs parallel to the small chip on the lid. I rechecked the lid and couldn\'t detect the hairline. It wasn\'t until I held the lid under a bright lightwith a magnifying glass that I was able to see this additional flaw. It is honestly more detectable in the photo than it is to the naked eye in normal lighting conditions.

I felt it important that this new finding be disclosed!
