Original 1865 Lincoln Assassination Mourning Ribbon #2 - Complete For Sale

Offered here is an original 1865 Abraham Lincoln assassinationmourning ribbon. The ribbon is printed black onwhite silk. The printing is clear and legible but slightly faded from age. There is a slight stain on a portion of the ribbon that may be from being mounted in a scrapbook or remembrance album. The top and bottom of the ribbonare slightly frayed but that is typical since these were cut off a roll when given to the recipient. The ribbonshows a cameo of Lincoln with several quotes. The black outline denotes mourning. Lincoln\'s assassination in 1865 was a national tragedy. I\'m not sure how anyone today can fully appreciate the effect his death had on the American people - particularly those in the North. This is a really nice rare historical piece at a low opening offer. I absolutely guarantee the originality of this item.
