RARE LIONEL 2341 JERSEY CENTRAL , FAIRBANKS MORSE, TRAIN MASTER DIESEL LOCOMOTIVE
LOT DESCRIPTION: As the title says this lot consists of one of the harder to find locomotives made by Lionel during the Post War period, the 2341 JERSEY CENTRAL, FAIRBANKS MORSE, TRAIN MASTER DIESEL LOCOMOTIVE. Made only in 1956 this massive locomotive comes with dual motors, 6 wheel trucks, magna-traction, interior lights, a diesel horn.
DESCRIPTION OF CONDITION: Loco is in great shape. The plastic shell has the typical screw hole cracks but they are tight and not that noticeable, no other cracks, breaks or chips. The colors, side stripes and decals are all bright and clear. Lettering and numbers still nice and sharp. The battery compartment and frame are fine , no battery damage there at all. Trucks and rollers in great shape. About the only mark on the loco is a tiny touched up paint chip that I have shown in a close up picture but this is hardly noticeable. Again, this is just a great looking loco that IMHO I would rate as in excellent condition but take a good look at the pictures and you be the judge.
WORKING CONDITION: I have, cleaned, lubed and tested the FM and it runs and reverses perfectly. E-unit cycles just fine. I did not test the horn, they are much too finicky to know when they will or will not work
