Rare Original 1962 Lionel HO & 027 D-400 Dealer Display 4\' x 6\' Layout, Ex For Sale

This sale is for an original and highly collectable Postwar Lionel HO & 027 D-400 Dealer Display Layout in Excellent (C7) condition. Produced in 1962, this 4\' x 6\' layout is complete with everything you see pictured; track, transformers, controllers and accessories. The layout worked when tested and comes with its original track, transformers, controllers, wiring and buss bars. It even has its original grass and stain-free roadways and track-beds. In attempt to cut costs, Lionel no longer painted the surface beige before stenciling on the green landscaped areas. Instead, the green landscape areas were stenciled directly onto the bare fiberboard surface and then grassed accordingly. Please note, the postwar Lionel 462 Derrick Platform has been replaced with a Lionel modern era 6-24173 Derrick Platform and the D492-100 Super Structure and yellow Lionel Sign are Madison Hardware replacements. Also, the 163 target signal has been repaired.
