With Eagle/Flag Design (Berg-1-55)This is an absolutely outstanding Civil War image featuring a rare subject. We are proud to offer this outstanding sixth plate ruby ambrotype image of a Civil War Zouave soldier in full uniform. As you can see, our young soldier is in full regalia including his knapsack and bedroll along with his rifle, bayonet (attached to his belt), and of course his zouave attire including the distinctive belt, \"bloused\" pants and leggings. He looks ready to go out hunting Rebs for sure! The photographer has carefully hand tinted the image in shades of blue/red to match his striking uniform. He stands before a plain white photographer\'s backdrop, which you see tucked under in the background. This image is very crisp, even more so when viewed in hand! It comes housed behind a patriotic themed mat inside a gutta percha case with a patriotic Eagle and Flag design (Berg #1-55).
