Aquality fly rod, signed in ink "SOUTH BEND CROSS DOUBLE BUILT MODEL 166 8-1/2FT HEH OR E." Unfortunately it appears that it was stored in a basement that partially flooded, as the lower 10" of the mid and tip sections, as well as the upper 10" of the butt all have water damage and the bamboo strips have come unglued.All sections are full-length. Bothtip sections have a VERY slight set, otherwise rod is still ingood condition overall, and certainly a very worthwhile restoration project. There is no sack, but itcomes in its original signedaluminum tube (screw-off cap is missing). Probably 1930's vintage.
