Sturditoy American LaFrance Water Tower Fire Truck For Sale

This sale is for a big, old (late 1920s), pressed steel,American LaFrance Water Tower Fire Truck No. 9 made by the Sturdy Corporation (Sturditoy) of Providence, RI. This is a rare toy in original condition. It appears to be complete with the exception of a hosemounted onone side. A very interesting feature is that it has a functional rear wheel steering system. I have not tried to see if it will pump water from the tank up through the ladder tube and out the nozzle on the top of the ladder. I would worry about damaging any seals inside the pump of this 80-90 year old toy. This is a great old toy fire truck that is quite rare. It will be a great addition to any toy collection.
