Offered in this sale todayis this beautiful Mid Century Truetone all tube table radio,original fully restored deco set. Not seen to often here,exhibiting gorgeous original factory painted copper/rust color finishcabinet,gold painted grill and dial pointer. This is a Deco radio that exhibits only a few very minor marks flea bite marks notedin or onthe cabinet. There are some very faint marks the size of pin heads on the top and bottom rim of the cabinet,remarkable for this vintage and barely noticed and very minor.Look over all photos for condition!
The factory model in the rear says red,however i think more to the rust or rosewood color! The back cover is MINT as it would be out of box in 1955,very clean and fits solid for this 60 year vintage! This model has a very retro look with the large center mounted dial pointer and gorgeous mirror finished factory painted cabinet!
This radio is in excellent original condition in and out for this vintage obscure D-2553 model!
Original knobs (Not reproduction).The power cord is original and is safe for use,with a very mint clean chassis and perfect speaker cone. Original working condition with strong mellow static free clean sounding audio from the 6 tube design. If you value factory originals from the modernistic Mid Century era this one is for you! You just have to see how well kept this originally painted cabinet exhibits after all these years! Fully bench tested and awaiting a new home or office!
