Unusual Antique German China Doll with Long Curls & Bangs and Cloth Body For Sale

This antique china head doll is unmarked but attributed to Germany. This doll is approx. 18” from the top of her head to the bottom of her shoes. The only mark on this doll is an incised 5 on the back of the shoulder plate. The head and shoulder plate are all one piece and measures approx. 4 1/2” from the top of the head to the bottom edge of the shoulder plate. The doll has curly bangs and then long curls that run down the back of her head. The cloth body is filled with sawdust and has had several repairs. There are a few small holes that need to be repaired since they are currently leaking sawdust. We do not see any chips or cracks in the doll’s head. The head is still attached to the body so we were not able to inspect the inside. The china legs are intact, as well as, the arms but there is a small chip (approx. 1/8” in diameter) on the inside of one of the hands at the tip of the finger. You can see this in one of the photos. There are not any clothes included with this doll. This doll came from a local estate. The family was originally from Kentucky and many of the dolls from this estate were collected in the early 1950s. This charming German china doll is now looking for her new home!
