The awesomeVA900B was offered by Vantage as theirtop-of-the-linepro levelbass to complete with other high-end bassesin the early 1980\'s.Built in the legendaryMatsumokufactory in Japan, theVA900Bfeatures the highest quality craftsmanship and construction throughout (very similar to the Aria Pro II SB, Ibanez Musician andDaion Powerseries bassesfrom this era).Looks like an Alembic copy. Ihave been watching on for the last few years and none of these have shown up, so they\'ve gotten to bea pretty rare find. The few folks who have one aren\'t letting go of it, and for good reason- they don\'t make \'em like this anymore!
A true neck-through with excellentresonant quality,figured Ash body wings withmulti layer construction of Maple and Walnut up the center of the neck, dark rosewood board with pearl oval inlays,24 frets, minimal fret wear.The long, thin profile neckplays like butter withlow action,true and straight as the day it came out of the factory. The pickups are the original 80\'s DiMarzios and the original electronics are all working, including the 18v active preamp. The pickup switching and active/ passive eq controls offer anexceptionalvariety of powerful tones- whatever your taste or stylethis bass can coverit.All brass hardware- fully adjustable brass bridge, brass nut,backplates,knobs and tuners.All original, except the brass knobs are new. The tip is missing from the pickup selector switch but it works just fine. This sale includes the original hard shell case in mint conditon- still has the key for the lock!
