VINTAGE1960’s TELEVISION SPACE TIN ROBOT 14 ½” TALL BATTERY OPERATED ALPS JAPAN

This sale is fora rare early 1960’s tin lithographed battery operated Television Spaceman Robotmade in Japan by Alps. He is 11 ½” tall withoutthe replacement antenna which doubles as the activation switch. Original hands, feet, legs, plastic mouth, T.V.screen, dome plastic head, red ears, and battery compartment door! Battery compartment is clean and works. This toy has NO cracks or damage to theplastic parts, expected wear and rubbing as shown. Detailed gears and wire in the lithographinginside the dome head above the eyes – very cool! Chest tin plat has vents, gauge, buttons, andother great detailing! Large claw likehands for seizing space aliens or debris for space crafts.
This tin spacerobot was tested on 8-12-2014 and WORKSwith great mechanical sounds, walks forward by pushing antenna down, his eyesturn, mouth lights up, chest T.V. plate scrolls 3 different panoramic picturesjust as if changing the T.V. channel.The arms swing as he walks along.Fantastic multi action tin battery operated toy for yourcollection!
