Split Cane Rod.

This "Hardy\'s" "Palakona CCDeFrance" rod is in "as found" condition and it has not been restored or repaired by us.

The rod measures approximatetly 8 feet, (including the handle ) in overall length. The fittings and reel seat to the butt section are in alloy and the butt and top rings are agate lined. All of the rings are present and well attached and the whipping appears to be in good order, however, the rod has been re-varnished at some point. The top section has a small "set"or kink to the left at the tip.

The alloy butt and reel fittings are impressed with "Made by Hardy\'s, England" along with the number "E76465" (1951). Just above the handle the rod has "Regd. Trademark Palakona" and "The CCDe France Rod" handwritten in Indian ink.

The rod has its\' ferrule stopper and original makers bag.

The rod has a lovely feel when held, well balanced, sturdy and needs a little TLC to bring it back to its\' full glory.
