You\'re checking out a freaking awesome, vintage Gretsch 6156 tube guitar amplifier from 1962.She\'s in amazing condition with minimal normal wear for a 52 year old amp.
The grille cloth is in incredible condition and sparkles as though the amp is fresh out of the store.
White piping around the top and bottom of the amp is blazing white.
Had her down at AccuTech amp works in East Hartford, CT and the owner said not only is she in great condition, but that she looks original with no repairs inside.Amazingly loud, too, with incredible tone. Tremolo and Daisy foot switch both work!
Has the sought-after/drooled-over, louder, mid-rangier, throatier, 6973\'s instead of 6BQ5/EL84\'s that you\'ll find in some of these amps.
Was upgraded at some point to the more desirable, super-quiet, robust, tone-monster12AX7A\'s versus the plain-old, stock 12AX7\'s that came with the amp!
