Vintage DUTCH BOY Laundry Sprinkler
I am told this is a Cardinal China Company of Carteret, NJ Dutch Boy laundry sprinkler. It has no maker marks though.
Back in the early to mid 20th century irons did not have a spray or steam function so we used laundry sprinklers to ease the removal of wrinkles when we pressed clothes.
I purchased this at a local estate sale and now you have he opportunity to have it for yourself.
He measures a little over 8\".
He does have one flaw, which is not all that noticeable, but it is still a flaw. There is a previously repaired neck crack. If you look real close in the photos you will see a fine line around his collar area. They did a pretty good repair but the sprinkler is not perfect. This is a Hard to find sprinkler and would make a great addition to your collection!
