Vintage Chatillon Hanging Produce Scale with Basket - Chatillon Type 33 Serial H For Sale

Folks, up for sale is a Vintage Produce Scale from days gone by. This one is a Vintage Chatillon Scale. It is the Chatillon Type 33 Serial H Scale. The Vintage Chatillon Food Scale appears to work correctly. Without the pan, it starts on the number 18. With the pan and chain attached, it starts on 0. I weighed some potatoes on the postal scale at 2.02 lbs. Then I placed them in the scale basket and it registered just barely over 2 lbs also (see pictures). There is an old lock attached with a key. The lock says Slaymaker. I can cut it off before shipping if you wish to have it removed. You will notice a faded label on the front (picture #5). It appears to be an inspection label from the City of Detroit. It says City of Detroit and Approved underneath it. The scale doesn\'t have a glass front and don\'t think it is designed to have one. The scale and tray are in good used vintage condition with wear consistent with its age and use. The face has good graphics but it does have some scratches and wear (picture #4). The chains holding the basket are rusty. All in all, a nice collectible from days gone by.
