Vintage Japan Alps Playland Octopus Carnival Battery Operated Toy, 1950's For Sale

This sale is for a VintageJapan Alps Playland Octopus Carnival Battery Operated Toy. This toy is hard to find. We would say thistoy is in very good to near excellent condition but you can look at the photosand judge for yourself. This toy is about 20” wide. The battery compartment isvery clean. There is some playwear but this toy displays excellently. This is areally cool toy for your collection. We do not have the box. It looks like the control wire going into the toy base has been repaired at one time (black tape, see picture).

We did test this toy. Itis really cute. The octopus arms go in both directions depending on which wayyou move the switch. The cars go up in the air and back down and spin just likethe real carnival ride. The cars also spin around by gravity and the red lightin the center flashes. Also, the bell dings as the arms spin. We enjoyed playing with this toy. Hope you will too.
