Thisscarce attachment is a Walking Presser Foot (Singer part #160741) andis called the \"Penguin\" as it resembles one as it waddles over thefabric. It was made for the Singer Featherweight machines and this oneis in the original box. It is complete and in fabulous condition,glossy and scratch free and looks like it\'s barely been used.

Singer says it was \"designed to produce superiorstitching on fabrics which, by natureof their texture, surface or weave, tend to ease, stretch or adherewhenstitching\". These would include leather, suede, coated or nappedfabrics, heavy knitted fabrics and rough textured fabrics. It isalso perfect for multiple layers of fabrics, as inquilting or combining fabrics of different textures.
