Extremely RARE ALL ORIGINAL Biedermeier China doll with original gorgeous clothing and original mohair up-sweeped hairdo. In one of the pics you can see the black circle on top of the belton head indicating it is a Biedermeier. I can\'t say again how fabulous this outfit is! Her clothing is a wonderful example of the 1800\'s.She has a broken China leg that is missing the boot and is loose from the body but I added a little polyfil to keep the sawdust from leaking out as well the other leg (which is also loose but secure). Her undies are a bit fragile in the lace edging.You will not be disappointed in this doll whatsoever!

I have had questions regarding any problems with the China Head. The head does not have any cracks, hairlines, chips, breaks or anything! The China head has a pink tint to it but I do not know if this is standard or not. She came from a Museum which she still retains the catalog tag from 1987. I have no other provenance than this. She has exposed, formed ears with a wonderful original wig. She has not been cleaned in any way, she is just as she came to me broken boot and all. Her facial painting is very nice. The right eyebrow may be a little lighter than the left but it was probably made that way in the factory. She has a beautiful pursed mouth expression and very nice cheek coloring. I am unable to change out my photos due to offers already being placed on the item but if anyone wants additional photos, I have some taken outside now. Even the photos taken out side with the sun going down still casts light reflections and it is very hard to take a picture without it looking streaky. She has a very high gloss shine so this poses a problem when taking photos. If any pictures looks like a hairline or break, just look at the other photos and you can see the shadow or light streak changes with the different views. This doll is priceless in my opinion and I bet you will never find another one like it! If offers are not going well, I may have to cancel the listing and re-list so that I can make appropriate changes by adding new photos and additional information. No chips, repairs or breaks to the arms or head that I can see. Her dress is sewn on; therefore, I will NOT disturb it, I can\'t attest to its condition visually. I can only derive a conclusion to its condition by feel and it feels solid and complete.
