Must-have for playing the djembe while seated
Note that my djembe is NOT a rope-tuned one. Consider that before selecting this stand. This stand is simple and effective. Without putting the djembe up off the floor, exposing the sound hole, you can't hear it. The height is right when using this, giving several inches of clearance for the sound to come out. The top and bottom circular bands are coated with rubber: The top protects your djembe from scratches, the bottom resists slipping on the floor. You can also tip the djembe inside the top circle for a better playing angle and the rubber tends to keep it in place (non slip).Note that my djembe is NOT a rope-tuned one. Consider that before selecting this stand. This stand is simple and effective. Without putting the djembe up off the floor, exposing the sound hole, you can't hear it. The height is right when using this, giving several inches of clearance for the sound to come out. Djembe Floor Stand
OK, this is an inexpensive stand, BUT it is well-built and sturdy. It happens to be a couple inches short of my Meinl Djembe, but being an intelligent handyman, I simply used an old 2X4 piece of lumber, cut it into two pieces about 8~10 inches each, rounded the outside edges to match the bottom of the stand and attached them to the bottom of the stand using some small scrap metal curtain rod supports and screws. Now the stand is tall enough to allow an air gap at the bottom, and the added weight of the wood adds more solid support. OK, this is an inexpensive stand, BUT it is well-built and sturdy. Djembe stand
These work great and they don't scratch you drum.I have tried others and returned them all I like these the best. Would be nice if there were different heights different sized drums are taller than others it would be nice to have put both my 18" and 14" heads at the same playing height. Other than that I love them they are very stable and are gentle to the drum.

Just what the doctor ordered
The stand is nice with rubber protected rings on top and bottom to prevent marking on the floor or on the drum itself. Hold the drum upright prevent it from getting knocked over. I still prefer to pull it out of the stand to play but I definitely hold it secure I knocked these things over numerous times not anymore
